Shandong player ends seven-year goal drought with a brace!


What a moment it was for Shandong's 29-year-old midfielder Zhang Chi as he finally found the back of the net in the Chinese Super League SEVEN years after making his debut!The right-sided midfielder, who can play as a wing-back, joined Shandong as a 12-year-old in 1999 and rose through to the ranks before making his senior debut in 2010. But in 2011 the youngster broke his ankle which caused him to miss THREE years of football.Thankfully, the energetic midfielder looks back to his best and broke his goal duck with a diving header in the 14th minute of Shandong's 3-0 win over Guangzhou R&F.He then added a second with a low finish seven minutes later to complete this feel-good story from the CSL.
