Sporting KC 3-2 Chicago Fire: Hosts hang on after freak Basler OG

Major League Soccer: Sporting Kansas City went on top of the Western Conference temporarily with a 3-2 win over Chicago Fire. Daniel Salloi's opener for Kansas was cancelled out by his teammate Matt Basler, who scored a freak own goal from an attempted clearance. Benny Feilhaber restored their lead with a point-blank overhead kick and Latif Blessing made it 3-1 after half-time. David Accam pulled one back for Chicago but it wasn't enough.
