Van Damme picks up third red card for Galaxy after reckless tackle

LA Galaxy finally ended their five-match losing streak in the MLS with a 0-0 draw against Seattle Sounders, but were reduced to 10 men when captain Jelle Van Damme was sent off for picking up two yellow cards. Van Damme made an unnecessary, reckless challenge in the 86th minute while already on a booking, leaving the referee no choice but to give him his marching orders. It was the Belgian's third red card in MLS this season.
