St Etienne 2-2 Rennes: Bourigeaud lob punishes blunder

St Etienne missed a chance to overtake third-placed Bordeaux after they drew 2-2 at home against Rennes. Benjamin Bourigeaud opened the scoring on 41 minutes for Rennes with a sweet lob over Stephane Ruffier, after a big defensive mistake by St Etienne. The hosts quickly responded when Gabriel Silva stroked in the equaliser in the 46th minute of stoppage time. Wahbi Khazri restored the lead for Rennes from the penalty spot, but Jonathan Bamba responded with his own penalty to make it 2-2.
