England continued their march in the Under-17 World Cup with a 3-2 win over Mexico, but Steve Cooper will be sure to remind his Young Lions that such close calls will not be tolerated again. After Rhian Brewster, Philip Foden and Jadon Sancho had put England into a seemingly unassailable 3-0 lead, Diego Lainez pounced at the other end to pull two back for El Tri and keep their opponents enduring a nervy finish.
