Gladbach's unsung maestro: Denis Zakaria the passing engine

Borussia Monchengladbach's new midfield signing Denis Zakaria, who was purchased by the club to replace Mahmoud Dahoud, is slowly becoming the club's hidden, unsung hero in defensive midfield. The 20-year-old has completed 249 passes out of 267 so far, for a passing completion rate of 93.26 per cent. The Swiss youngster can also score goals if needed, already grabbing his first Bundesliga goal back in August for Gladbach. The result? Zakaria's passing has helped his team to a respectable sixth spot after eight matches.
