Chievo 0-0 Napoli: Leaders fall short of Serie A record

Napoli failed to become the first team in the history of Serie A to win their first 12 games of the season as they were held to a goalless draw at Chievo Verona. The front three of Dries Mertens, Lorenzo Insigne and Marek Hamsik, so lethal so far, were not given enough space to cause damage as Napoli struggled to create chances. The draw, combined with Juventus' narrow win over Benevento means the gap at the top of the table is now only one point.
