Russia captain Smolov steers comeback for WC hosts with brace!


World Cup 2018 hosts Russia made a statement by fighting to a 3-3 comeback draw against Spain in a friendly, with captain Fyodor Smolov scoring a brace. The Krasnodar forward, who is in great goalscoring form for his club, grabbed Russia's first goal on on 41 minutes to reduce the deficit to 2-1 after Spain had gone two goals up, before he completed the comeback in the 70th minute with a superb finish.
