Peru 2-0 New Zealand: Los Incas return to World Cup after 36 years!

Peru have become the last country to book their place in Russia 2018, when they defeated New Zealand 2-0 in the second leg of their intercontinental playoffs after the first leg had ended 0-0. Jefferson Farfan smashed in the opening goal on 27 minutes, before Christian Ramos pushed Peru further ahead in the 65th minute from a corner kick. New Zealand's best chance came from Burnley striker Chris Wood who could only lob his shot wide over the Peru keeper in the 90th minute, and Peru held on to qualify for their first World Cup since 1982.
