Shakhtar 2-1 Man City: Bernard screamer fires Ukrainians through!

Shakhtar Donetsk booked their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League for the fourth time in eight years as they surprised Manchester City 2-1 in their final Group F game. The Ukrainians would be assured of a place in the next round if they beat already-qualified City - and they did just that with first half goals from Bernard and Ismaily. Bernard's goal was particularly impressive as he recovered from a poor first touch with his left foot, to then curl an unstoppable screamer from the corner of the box high into the City net. Shakhtar's progress came at the expense of Napoli who finished third following defeat in Rotterdam to Feyenoord.
