Real 1-0 Gremio: Los Blancos retain Club World Cup from Ronaldo FK!

Real Madrid became the first club to retain the FIFA Club World Cup title when they defeated Brazilian side Gremio 1-0 thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo's superb free-kick. Ronaldo, who had just won the Ballon d'Or for the fifth time, broke the deadlock on 53 minutes with a well-struck free-kick that gave the Gremio keeper no chance. Luka Modric hit the post and Gareth Bale flashed a shot over the crossbar, but in the end Ronaldo's strike was enough to hand Real their third Club World Cup title, equaling the record of La Liga rivals Barcelona.
