Barcelona agree £142m deal for Coutinho in British record fee

Philippe Coutinho's curler against Swansea back in 26 December 2017 was his last goal in a Liverpool shirt, as the 25-year-old has agreed to join Barcelona in a £142 million deal that is a new British transfer record. The Catalan giants had made an unsuccessful bid for Coutinho during the summer transfer window, but Liverpool have now accepted Coutinho's transfer request in the January window. Coutinho did not play in the FA Cup tie against Everton due to a minor injury and is expected to be officially revealed as a Barcelona player by Monday.
