Man City 2-1 Bristol: 92nd-min Aguero strike salvages Stones stupidity

Bristol City stood toe to toe with Manchester City in their eventual 2-1 first-leg Carabao Cup semi-final defeat with a large portion of the blame pinned on John Stones. The England defender commited his second high-profile error in a cup tie as he floored Bobby Reid allowing the striker to put the minnows ahead. The tide soon turned as Kevin De Bruyne equalised but City were made to wait until the 92nd minute before Sergio Aguero found the breakthrough with a late header, handing Pep Guardiola’s men a precious aggregate lead though Bristol have everything to play for heading into the second leg at Ashton Gate.
