Leverkusen 4-2 (aet) Werder Bremen: Brandt at the double!
Julian Brandt produced a fine brace as Bayer Leverkusen roared back from 2-0 down to force extra-time and eventually beat Werder Bremen 4-2 in the German Cup on Tuesday.
The visitors looked comfortable with goals from Max Kruse and Aron Johannsson but Brandt hit back for Leverkusen in the 31st minute and again in the 55th minute with the latter a stunning right foot screamer from the edge of the area.
There was only one team in extra-time as Leverkusen scored two more times through Karim Bellarabi and Kai Havertz to set-up a semi-final place.
