Chennaiyin 1-3 Bengaluru: ISL leaders go seven clear at the top!

Goals from Boithang Haokip, Miku, and Sunil Chhetri sealed a 3-1 win for Bengaluru at Indian Super League title rivals Chennaiyin to open up a seven point lead at the summit. The game was evenly poised at 1-1 heading into the second half after a Francis Fernandes header had cancelled out Haokip's early strike. But the home side struggled to deal with Bengaluru's direct play and went behind again to Miku's 64th minute goal. And things got worse for Chennaiyin's big defender Henrique Sereno who was sent off for a second yellow card after making a clumsy tackle in a bid to cover up a poor header back.Sunil Chhetri sealed the win in stoppage time with a tap-in although things made have been different had Chennaiyin not missed a late penalty prior to the third Bengaluru goal.
