Lyon 0-2 Rennes: Third straight loss as Lyon slip up in UCL race

Lyon suffered their third consecutive defeat in Ligue 1 as they were beaten 2-0 at home by mid-table Rennes. Former Sunderland winger Wahbi Khazri gave Rennes an early lead in the fifth minute after a poor clearance from the Lyon defence. The hosts fought back with several chances but could not find the equaliser, and James Edward Le Siliki grabbed the second goal in injury time from a Rennes counter attack. Lyon stay stuck in fourth place, four points behind third-placed Marseille for the Champions League qualifying spot.
