Suwon 1-1 Shanghai: Bluewings pay penalty after thunderbolt opener!

South Korea's Suwon Bluewings were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Shanghai Shenhua of China on matchday three of the AFC Champions League in Group H on Wednesday. The hosts looked dangerous from set-pieces with Dejan Damjanovic forcing Shanghai goalkeeper Li Shuai into a spectacular save from a free-kick just before the half-hour mark. But it was no surprise when Suwon did take the lead it came via a set-piece which was initially punched away by Li but then drilled first-time into the back of the net through a crowd of players by Lee Ki Je two minutes into the second half. However, Shanghai were able to grab an equaliser in the 69th minute when Cristavom Da Silva was deemed to have fouled Eddy in the box. It was a harsh decision but Gio converted for a point.
