VAR & Vagner howler decisive as Porto beat Boavista

VAR was the main talking point after Porto beat Boavista 2-0 to stay top of the Primeira Liga, though both decisions were in favour of the guests. Vitor Bruno was initially shown a red card for a dangerous challenge before video review convinced referee Manuel Oliveira to reduce it to a yellow, while Sergio Oliveira was unable to make it 3-0 for Porto after VAR deemed he had taken two touches of the ball in a penalty. Still, there was no helping Vagner who gave away Porto’s second goal to Hector Herrera with a ridiculous pass out of defence, as the hosts remain two points clear of Benfica.
