Man City 1-2 Liverpool (agg. 1-5): Reds shut down City fightback

Liverpool defeated Manchester City 2-1 to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League 5-1 on aggregate. Second-half goals from Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino ended all hopes of a City comeback after Gabriel Jesus had given the home side an early goal in the second minute. Leroy Sane had a goal wrongly disallowed for offside at the end of the first half, which was the turning point of the match as manager Pep Guardiola was sent off to the stands for protesting the decision.
