Portland 2-1 LAFC: Vela beauty cancelled out by Armenteros solo!

Portland Timbers earned their fifth straight win in MLS with a 2-1 victory over Los Angeles FC. Cristhian Paredes's opener for Portland on 52 minutes was erased by Carlos Vela's stunning 74th minute strike, when the Mexican curled a beautifully weighted shot over the keeper and under the crossbar. But Samuel Armenteros restored Portland's lead with a screamer of his own, dribbling past two defenders to fire a rocket into the bottom corner on 81 minutes.
