McLain heroics can't save Chicago in 3-1 Philadelphia rout

Patrick McLain twice flew to Chicago Fire’s rescue early on but even his heroics between the posts was not enough to stave off a 3-1 MLS rout at the hands of Philadelphia Union. The inevitable happened right before the break as the hosts broke the deadlock with Ilsinho scoring a piledriver, and they went on to add to their tally with Cory Burke’s downward header and Borek Dockal’s penalty in the second half.
