Germany’s World Cup prep takes hit with first Austria loss in 32 years


Germany lost to Austria for the first time in 32 years, as the world champions preparations ahead of Russia 2018 took a hit with a 2-1 defeat in Klagenfurt. Mesut Ozil gave Joachim Low’s men the lead in captain Manuel Neuer’s return to action, but the custodian couldn’t keep out Martin Hinteregger and Alessandro Schopf’s efforts as Austria hit back in the second half!
